Helen Roeten will organise a life drawing zoom session with Nena and Bianca inspired by Ren Hang

On March 12 Helen Roeten will organise a life drawing zoom session with Nena and Bianca , two art models from Argentina. Nena I have worked with many times and she can take poses that are very difficult. Wonderful to have her modeling with Bianca , she is a new model for me. Together they will create 10 poses inspired by photographer Ren Hang

The artist of inspiration : Ren Hang
Ren Hang (1987–2017) was a Chinese photographer and poet known for his provocative, intimate, and dreamlike images. His work, often featuring nude bodies in surreal compositions, challenged taboos around sexuality, identity, and censorship in China. With a bold yet poetic aesthetic, Ren captured his friends and models in striking poses—entwined, suspended, or interacting with nature in unexpected ways. Despite government restrictions, his art gained international recognition, celebrated for its raw beauty, humor, and defiance. Alongside his photography, his deeply personal poetry reflected his struggles with depression. Ren Hang’s legacy continues to inspire, pushing boundaries in contemporary photography and queer representation.
